Dropping the Mask — Honest Friction Builds Better Tech

Continuing our chat with our teammate Colleen on #Partnership ... true partnerships that generate value when building new tech together demand #Candor and #Honesty. 💬

#InsideInnovators, we know you navigate complex waters daily. To truly unlock #ProgressiveImprovement, we rely on straightforwardness and honesty. #BringingTheTruth is one of our 4 core values. 🗣️

Business requirements change over time. What seemed like a brilliant decision last year might look like a terrible one today. People that made the decision might no longer work here.

Our advice -- build a working culture where others on your team feel free to call out something that feels off. And of course, let us know when past decisions are no longer working, priorities have shifted, or the context has changed. 🏗️

Trust is not built by delivering a perfect outcome every time. Trust grows when we work through problems together.

Colleen shared a great story about working through a challenge with a client. By intentionally exposing her own code on a screenshare, she showed vulnerability and built immediate trust.

Of course, we all strive for excellence; and doing so requires a healthy, straightforward exchange with others who breed excellence. And that requires honesty. When everyone tiptoes around real problems, we fail to find real solutions.

You tell us what bothers you, what feels uncertain; we work through the change together. 🤝 You lead the charge, and we act as your trusted guides in the #SoftwareProcess.

The Wrap Up: Trust grows when we drop the masks and tackle the messy reality as one team.

Next up: In our final post of this series, we reveal why the best professional relationships often start small but grow into powerful #Collaborations. 🌱
