The Five Attributes

Hello unicorns 🦄!  Since we’ve covered quite a bit recently, here is our executive summary of the top five attributes of intrapreneurs. Enjoy!

Attribute 1: You are Tenacious

You bring your classic “go-getter attributes” – self-confidence, will, proactivity.  You keep the original spark and dream alive, your clean fuel for the long journey ahead. 🗺️

The Energy Bus

You drive the “energy bus” and others love to ride it with you. 🚌   You may love hearing Jon Gordon speak, the author of The Energy Bus.

Attribute 2: You are Prosocial

You like to help others.
We pulled out five items from The Intrapreneurship Formula book by Sandra Lam to bring some more specifics on being prosocial and innovative:

✅ You know how to "motivate people to work with you without direct authority over them.”
✅ You are "excited to meet people from different backgrounds and learn about what they do.”
✅ You can "identify people’s strengths and find ways to build on them.” 💪
✅ You are "comfortable with navigating politics in your organization.” 🧭
âś… You are a "good listener and open to others' opinions."

Attribute 3: You are Always Learning

You try new things and then never see the fruits of your most precious asset: your time ⏰. You go back to the basics in order to go forward. ⏪⏩

You are open to criticism when seeking input from others, which unlocks a new area of satisfaction and curiosity that gives you new levels of energy for the long journey ahead. 🗝️

Learning Leader

Ryan Hawk’s Learning Leader podcast may be another go to.

Attribute 4: You are Courageous

You bring a bit of risk tolerance. You bring courage into our work every day, willing to put ourselves out there, to try something new. đź’ˇ
You may not be risk *seeking* ⚠️ — You view risk as a natural outcome doing something that you believe in, one that of necessity brings uncertain outcomes. Sure, you bring an adventurous and curious spirit, but you are not trying to make a statement, or prove anything.

Attribute 5: You are a ProblemSolver

You are always building the problem-solving machine... ⚙️  With every problem that you face, you invest into the process.

You keep eyes open for the next big challenge, especially the fun “problem" of capturing a new opportunity. đź’ˇ  You take the time to write it down: you commit your big ideas to a summary and start building a written plan right away.

Blaze on, trailblazers!
